The mechanisms look to be heavy duty double/triple extension drawer runners, 2 pairs per pull out (probably rated 50kg/pr or more). The rest of it is just boxes with the sides routed out - presumably for weight reduction as well as allowing the user to see the contents. Yes, I agree it will cost more - but it will have a far greater wow factor if well executed

You can get the runners from Ironmongery Direct "heavy duty" but quite simple to install.
