Cutting bed down

hi,

looking for a bit of advice, if anyone can help.

i've got a 4ft6 double bed and i need to cut it to 4ft.

found a local wood cutting service who will cut properly.

issue is that i'm going to lose the locking cam bolts which hold the head and footboards to the legs.

i've got some wood glue left to reinforce the joints, but any ideas of how i can fix them properly?

Just cut new fixing points a forstner bit for the recesses.

make sure you buy the matress first as you will greatly reduce your chance off a bargain iff your base needs an exact size to fit it

You can re-reinforce with a couple of these, have used when beds become loose.
