I a'm a very fussy D I Y'er can any one inform me how to work out the spacing on the spindles over different distences, I know they have to be 100mm apart I a'm up to this stage,
if you have any questions on timber & fixing prices do not hesitate to ask

distance between newels say 3m
spindle say 45mm +95mm spaces= 140mm

3000 div by 140 = 21.4 so 22

22x45mm spindles = 990mm
3000 - 990= 2010mm

22 spindles requires 23 spaces

2010 div by 23 = 87.4

if you go for 21 spindles [945]

3000 - 945 =2055

2055 div by 22 =93.4 spaces
