Difference between vinyl and laminate kitchen flooring

Hello helpers
We have a new kitchen floor going over plywood base what is the difference please? Pros and cons

laminae doesn't cope so well in areas likely to be wet and will look tired quicker
vinyl is inherently more waterproof and possibly easier to clean

Vinyl is easier to replace? Also you could lay it under the worktops, which you wouldn't do with laminate.



If its a kitchen I would choose either vinyl or tiles.
 
The difference is the material used. In both cases its a photograph of wood on to the flooring rather than veneer which is a thin slice of real wood. Plenty of laminates are suitable for kitchens, few real wood is suitable for a kitchen, particularly oak.
