Hi,

Can anyone help with advice on this project?
I want to put a dishwasher in, and wonder if it is feasible to plumb it into the existing plumbing behind the existing washing machine.

See attached pics (sorry for the bendy panorama!), the washing machine has a cold water feed and a U-bend trap for the waste feed directly behind it (second pic), which is separate from the sink.

Can I just use Y pieces or something to split the cold water feed so it supplies the dishwasher too, and similarly can I use a Y to feed the dishwasher waste into the same trap?

The dishwasher will be about 2-3 m away (marked in panorama image).

No problem with your plan except the waste.
You will need to create 2 separate stand pipes, this can be done with a tee
An elbow and some pipe.
Long fill and drain hoses are available too.
Jeff.

Great, thanks.
Does that mean two traps (and therefore drilling another hole in the wall... ugh), or just two of the long vertical bits going into the same trap?

Or fit a Mcalpine V33WM to the standpipe
