Hi!
My dad's having a garage built attached to his house. (Apart from bricking, I'm doing the rest.)
The flue from the combi boiler in the kitchen is near to one end of the house side wall.
The new attached-garage back wall will be built next to this, making the flue sited in a corner.
How near to this flue can the wall be built?
Thank you.

Damn!
I thought I'd covered everything in my description.
I don't think it's a balanced flue?
(Can you tell I don't know what I'm talking about with gas boilers?)
It's 13 years old and the pilot-light blows out when it's windy.
He does get it serviced each year by a CORGI lad, so it must be common.
Does the 300mm still apply?
Thank you.

Generally speaking if it is fan flued then 300mm is required if it is not fan flued it is 600mm. Fan flue's most commonly have 4" round terminals.

As far as i am aware only recent boilers have any further reductions.

You need to obtain the manufacturers instructions to be sure. What boiler is it (make/model)

Thanks, sambotc.
My dad's out at the moment, but I'll ring him when he gets back after 9pm.
I'll find out and post a reply.
I know it's not a round outlet.
It's oblong stainless with mesh around the sides.
Thanks again.

I posted a reply last night, but it's not here now?

It's a Potterton Prima B

AHFF 421 0034

Is that enough info?

600mm or 300mm?

Thanks.
John
