Does this porch roof need support.

Hi. We are getting the brick work done for our porch. See the diagram attached. The red is where the brick work is. And the red line above is where new pitched roof will be.

Does the roof we create need supporting from below? Like where the blue line is do we need a pole/rod or something?

Pole, pillar, post, gallows bracket - your choice really. Yes, it will require support.

With a canopy roof, we usually build everything off a supported purlin.

Ok given it will be a pvc window on corner. What are my options

Do you intend building a fully enclosed porch? Losing a storm porch is not always favourable. We love the fact that ours is open and you (and anyone visiting) has a place to shelter whilst searching for the house key or knocking etc.
