Does this sound like a push fit connection?

Have bought this and am not sure if the connection from the up pipe to the elbow attached to the horizontal pipe is missing something or is a push/speedfit connection?

All the pipework is chromed and the rest of the shower has compression fittings. The elbow for the up pipe (the horizontal pipe is fixed - probably soldered then chromed) has no thread but there is an olive in there plus a rubber o ring. Is this a push fit connection? What is the olive for? Is something missing? Will it leak??

Anyone seen one of these before or know what I'm talking about?

Cheers.

The installation manual shows the top fitting of the rising tube to be just an 'O' ring (push fit).
The lower connection is a compression fitting and needs an olive.
Maybe a loose olive found its way in there?

Cheers moss! I'm looking forward to being amazed if/when it doesn't leak!

No PTFE or anything? ...

Ben.

No PTFE. If the tube is roud and the 'O' ring sitting in a groove, it will seal.
Make sure the tube is not sharp-edged, it could rip the 'O' ring.
Spit on the tube and slide it in.
The joint is not under much pressure, so long as the shower rose is not blocked with limescale.
