Hi we are thinking of changing our old battered back doors for aluminium bi-folding doors and the sun streams in through this side of the house so we are tempted to get the doors with integral blinds, we have seen them in a couple of places.

It seems they are controlled by magnets, is this any good, how else could they be controlled if trapped inside the glass?

Do the magnets work all the time?

Do they work well, and last or are there any vulnerabilities?

I realise it could get expensive if one needed replacing but if I knew they were very reliable then obviously this would not worry me, anybody got any experience of them, ie got some or a friend who has had them a while?

Its just this stuff is expensive and I don't want to make any mistakes.

Any help/info appreciated

Got them in my house, have seen the magnet pack up before, not had no problem with mine, not to say they will not fail at any time, also could last the lifetime of the unit.
