Double oven installation

Good evening.

A few weeks ago an electrician fitted my new double oven. He ran a new radial circuit fom my consumer unit for this (the length of cable used roughly 10m). On looking today, I noticed that he has used 30A fuse wire in the cartridge fuse. As the oven is rated 4.4kw, is the fuse rating too high?

20A would have been adequate for that oven, but cooker circuits are usually installed at 32A. Presumably you have no other load on that circuit?

Personally I would prefer to change it to a 20A but I don't think he's done an unsatisfactory job.

You are correct, there is no other load on the circuit.
