Is there a trick to getting these off, i'm trying to find out which way my drains go as part of planning an extension. I've tried an impact driver, screw driver bit in a ratchet spanner, cold chisel and a hammer.......... Not one budged!

Any Ideas? Cheers.

As per Newboy but heat and then quench with cold water - that'll shock it.

1 Screw eventually came out with it's thread full of whatever it was screwed into, 1 screw snapped. And the third was allowed to stay where it was as the lug around snapped when I was hitting it....... Even with all three screws 'out' the lid wouldn't lift, so kept hitting it and it eventually moved. Looks like there has been some galvanic corrosion virtually gluing everything together. At least I now know which way my poo goes!

Cheers
