hi guys im going to change the exhaust on my meriva the exhaust will be ecp's cheap straight single piece exhaust, when im fixing it at the cat end a gasket is required, will this need exhaust paste on aswell or just the gasket by itself

Yes, clean the surfaces well (descale the rust off) and smear a coat of cement on before the gasket. While you are there put a bit on the new side as well
