Extra long pin grippers

I have some 15mm 65oz wool felt underlay, I know I need to make sure the pins on the carpet grippers are long enough, trouble is the longest I found are only suitable for 12mm underlay.

Anybody know where I can get carpet grippers with pins long enough for this underlay?

Just a thought, would packing strips under the grippers help?
