Fire Door help please..

Hi there

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.

I am transforming the space under my stairs into a cupboard and have been informed by building control that the door needs to be a 30 minute fire door..

I didnt want to fit a full size door really, maybe full width but shorter in height. This was hopefully going to be a quick inexpensive project so dont really want to be spending mega bucks on doors and stuff. Are custom fire doors expensive..?

Any guidance and advice would be very helpful....

Ply flush Fire Door, Cut to what angle you want then lip the edge with 6mm x 50mm and trim to finish.

Brilliant!!.. Thanks very much... I was thinking if I could trim one down, or whether this damaged the fire proof integrity... thanks!!

The hardest bit is cutting the angle correct, then you will have to glue the edge on. We used Cascamite glue which would take 24hrs to dry.
