Help
I wish to install a doorway between the garage and hall but I am having some difficulty finding a door.

Can anbody advise, does a standard soft wood door skinned on the garage side with Master Board conform with the Building Regs?

What I would ideally like is a 27" Fire Resistant Door woodfaced withe six panels to match the rest of the doors in the house,

Equally, are their any special requirements for the Door Frame?

Feedback appreciated

27" corniche 1/2 hour fire doors are available -certainly in lancs so should be elsewhere - try a decent builders/timber merchasnt or a door specialist , dont waste your time looking at the sheds

Thanks SEAANGLER

Have now read the book and got the correct info :

Materials obtained to meet Building Regs a) !/2 Hr Fire Door
b) Treated 1/2 hr Frame
c) intumesent Seals
d) Door Closure Device

Have created the door opening in the wall and provided a 100mm step down into the garage and are now ready to install the frame.

Question does the door have to open into the garage? Advice please
I can not seem to find the answer in a book may be I should go to B&Q and look at the sheds after all.

what book have you got plonker? sounds interesting

Premdor are a largish door manufacturer - try google

they make loads of different fire doors including 6 paneled - very common style infact!

call them and ask for local stockists

Door can swing either way - just not near a staircase
