thats what the hole was for in the old plywood for the waste i can gain acess to it from below ,the garage is directly below, the waste is going down into the garage and along the wall and back out to the soil stack.
can i just ask a question about sistering the joists as i can only get to one side of the joist is it acceptable to glue and nail or screw to the joist i would have used bolts normally, i was thinking of using 2x8 timber so there is plenty material to nail or screw into.
