Hi all,

I am wanting to swap the radiator in the bathroom for a towel radiator. In doing so I want to change the TRV for one that will match the rail. How do I change the valves. I have done this previously by draining the system, but am not used to the system in my current property. The system is a BoilerMate OV from a potterson boiler. Is it as simple as closing the valve on the boiler mate which goes to the upstairs rads?

Many thanks Rich

Ah yes, the Potterson boiler. No1 boiler in Japan.

Be very careful, there is an awful lot of water in a Boilermate. If you get it wrong the dining room table will be floating down the hall.

As ancient chinese proverb say; if unsure, drain the b*stard.
