i understand if money is tight, its tempting to buy an off-the-shelf from a diy shed. but long term, you're far better off going the extra mile and buying a made to measure, from a decent upvc supplier.
Shop around the local window/door fitters. It may be cheaper to buy direct from a manufacturer in the long run cos the rubbish I've seen for sale in some of the DIY shops aren't up to standard anyway.
Also a wooden door may be cheaper than a PVC door and is usually a lot stronger too.
