fitting french doors

Question: do I remove plaster round the window so that builders can fit doors to existing window. All bricks under current window is to be removed by builders to fit french doors. Should I remove the plaster round current window?

I think I get what your saying ,Usually the window and frame come right out the brick work below is knoked out and a new door frame and doors fitted
