I am fitting a kitchen sink waste kit (Caple CPK4 - see pic) into a Caple Winchester 150 ceramic sink.

Please can someone advise how to fit this kit. Should I just use the kit and screw it together or should I be using silicone/some other product as well? The kit does not appear to have much tolerance and i am concerned that knocking this from below could cause a leak.

There is a foam washer is this to protect the sink from the drainer?

Many Thanks[/img]

the kit will have everything to fit the waste no need for silicone etc.

the foam washer useally go's between the drainer and the sink.
a rubber washer go's underneath between sink and waste.

that is what I thought, many thanks for quick response. I called Caple customer services and it turns out the sink batch I bought has a known issue where the hole is bigger than usual. They are sending me a new sink kit tomorrow that addresses this issue.
