Here's my dilema,

I have bolted together two 6x2 pine timbers to essentially make 1 6x4 joist. The precise width is 94mm combined.

I need to secure this joist perpendicular to the house on an external wall. For this, so far, I have bought a joist hanger which can be secured to the external wall with anchor bolts but am concerned that being made of zinc coated steel, this will rust in relatively short period of compromising it's strength.

Does anyone have any ideas on how best to achomplish this, without embedding it into the wall which I don't want to do?
