Hi all,

My bathroom light once turned on flickers or just fades to only show the filament like ring. All three lights on the Unit are doing the same thing.

The lighting on the rest of the first floor besides the bathroom is all working fine.

There is a funny whirring noise too when I turn the same lights on. Any ideas?

Thanks and appreciate it.

I have to assume they're not on a dimmer? Silly question i know, but your photos don't really show anything.

Has it just started? You could have a loose connection, have you changed anything recently?

Just started.

No dimmer. Nothing changed recently...

Thx

Does a transformer power the lamps? If you remove the cover of the fitting, there maybe one integrated in to it.

A BGI would be to not use the light until you have found, and fixed, whatever is making the funny whirring noise.

Take down the fitting and you will most likely find a very lightweight plastic tranny in the body of the fitting.

Does it show signs of distress?

Thanks chaps. Now the light has stopped making whirring and no light whatsoever.

Have uploaded pics of trannie.

Thanks and apologies for delay.
