Hi,
We are having a new conservatory built in place of an old one wooden one that I took down. The new company are using the existing dwarf walls and once its done I am going to replace the flooring in the room. The old floor was ceramic tiles sot I was hoping to just lay wooden flooring on top of these as it is level and solid.
However by the front door there is a cavity coming up from the footings. For the previous flooring they had laid slate across the cavity and tiled on top of that. Is this the correct way to clost the cavity to support the flooring or is there a better way. I have tried to upload a photo.
