Ford Focus door locking issues

Looking for help have 2011 registered Focus which does not like the cold when weather gets to 0 or below drivers door when you first open will not the lock to close one the car warms up may lock more often than not it takes hours the it locks and you then cannot open from inside car have to lower window to open door. Have had car from new and this happens every year garage can not find a problem and now that it looks like cold for sometime has anyone got an answer.

Get the WD40 out before it freezes.

Fords have always had problems with locks- 1966 mk 1 gt cortina - could get in with any old FS range key. Good job people were honest then - it was my pride and joy . 1984 new Transit works van - my M8 got in the passenger side with his Nissan key before I'd got in with my Ford key to drive it. Lucky the firm would pay for my tools if nicked.
