hi folks.

my brother in law has just bought an LG 42LF7700 42in 100Hz Full HD Freesat Digital LCD TV.
He was told by the salesman that all he required was a sat' dish and he will have all the freesat channels.
Is this true or does he need a seperate reciever?.

thanks

If your brother has had Sky previously and still has the dish then that can be connected to his TV. At that point he'll have Freesat's version of the free-to-air digital TV stations and also the Freesat HD channels too.

All Freesat tellys should have an ordinary aerial connection too. It's a good idea to connect this as well as the satellite feed. There are some stations that are only on one service or the other but not both.

Its also useful when there is no picture to find out if its your tv or the broadcast. (Its is when you are with Virgin. )
