Hi we have a fairly modern fusebox but not RCD on it, it tripped when my husband switched a ceramic heater on, we have unplugged the heater and switched everything off in the house, and brought them on one at a time, but still no power to the house, any suggestions?

cheers

What rating was the heater in kW/W? Were you using a lot of electricity at the time (showers/cooker)?

It's possible (though unlikely) that you've taken out the supplier's fuse, but if you can't find anything else or any other switches that may have tripped between the meter and the consumer unit, then I'm afraid it's time to call an electrician.

A fuse will never reset. It has to be replaced. A circuit breaker can be re-set but you say
no power to the house
so I would guess fuse has blown.

Wonder how you wrote on here with no power!

If main fuse only your supplier can change that.
