Gable end collapse

I cannot for the life of me work out how that has happened, so I would also be interested to hear from someone in the know!
 
It was a cantilevered carport.

It was plain to be seen the car port cantilever would take the gable down. Bricks stacked on top of each other is a weak form of construction.
Had it been shuttered then no problems.


The catilever on top of these was over 50 feet long and designed for snow loading and big winds. :LOL:
Re bars were as thick as your arms. I know because I had to wrestle with them.
