Hello,

Is there a good product on the market to draft proof my Garage? There is a gap nearly all the way around the door.

Looking for some self adhesive kinda stuff please.

Thanks.

Most garage doors are kinda gappy and that's because garage dwellers don't really care for draft free.

Or is your garage 'special'?

Hello thanks for the replies, my garage joins onto the house so I need to make it as cosy as possible, we dont park the car in there at all it is just the dryer, ironing etc

there are plenty around.

I use one of these rubber seals on the floor http://www.screwfix.com/p/stormguard-garage-threshold-seal-black-2515mm/37019

I find the brush type are better on the sides of the door as they do not wear much and accomodate varying gaps.

At the top I fitted a wooden batten which meets the outside of the door.

There are plenty more in DIY sheds. You can use ordinary door brush strip but may need more than one piece.

Cheers, does the thermoplastic one go on the inside or outside of the garage please?

that one goes on the floor. I built up a mortar fillet that the car drives over to make the strip a close fit with the bottom of the door. I have a draught-excluder on the bottom of the door that presses against it.

something like this, http://www.screwfix.com/p/garage-seal-2500mm-aluminium/29327 it is on the outside so rain tends to run off. I painted the ally strip dark brown to tone with the stain on the door. If the rubber fin rubs on the concrete, it wears away.
