Hi,

Yesterday I finally got around to cutting down the bathroom door so that the extractor fan could work properly.

I intended to make the gap 12mm, but foolishly cut 12mm off the door leaving a total gap of 17mm. I don't know if it looks wrong, or I just think it does because I did it.

Is 17mm an acceptable space, or have I over done it?

Thanks!

We've all "cut the wrong side of the line" before. Without a picture its difficult to say how it looks.

Do you get too much light coming out from under it so that it looks noticeable? Perhaps find a nice draught excluder to mount on the door?

In any case, its how it looks to you, as I bet no one visiting your house would even be aware of it.
