I have recently had my detatched garage converted to a granny annex, and in the annex i am having a new central heating system. I am looking to get a gas safe engineer in,to fit a gas supply over to the annex.
a friend of mine (who is to busy to undertake the work)
briefly had a look and told me that the first thing i need to get done is have my meter upgraded to a 16 ?
the boiler will be fitted to the wall nearest to my house, which is 44metres from the meter, the question i want to ask, so i can get an idea of costs is what sort of size pipe will this have to be??
My friend also told me an easier option might have been to have a new supply fitted to the annex but due to planning issues it all has to go through my house meter

transco came and went this morning, they dug the main back from the gas box to where it was reduced underground and the jointed a new bit on so it was the same size all the way to the gas box. Then united utilities came and put a new meter on
