Had the above fitted about 6 months ago and is working fine, but since the colder weather started we've noticed that the radiators are far too hot to even touch.

Reading through the manual this is factory set at 75C but can be altered.

The manual says 'enter the After Sales Service password'

Can anyone confirm what this is please?

You don't need a password to turn the temperature down.

You do according to the installation and service manual the installer left with us.

The CHW temperature is factory set at 75C but it can be altered if you go into the D code parameter area of the electronic boiler controller. But this is only accessible with a passcode.

Try reading the operator manual. Heating and hot water temperatures are user controls and do not need a password. Do you have a Glowworm controller?

It only says Ultimate 30c on the manual but it has only recently been installed and it did have the latest energy efficiency rating approval.

If it's the one i think it is. Hold the mode button, tap or radiator will flash to show which you're adjusting. Press mode again to get the one you want. Press minus to lower the temperature. Press mode again to select. A tick should appear to confirm.

I think you are talking about the previous generation.

Yes you can press the mode button to get a tap or radiator icon up. When on tap you can adjust the temperature but when you select radiator and try to adjust the display says 'no'.

In the manual it clearly states how to get into the factory set d code parameters but it states 'enter passcode'.

All I need is the passcode, then manual then tells you how to change and save the new setting.

Aha! It says no because you have a Glowworm control. This overrides the boiler.
Which one do you have?
Again. You do NOT need a password to do this.

We have the ClimaPro 2 wireless controller.

BTW, when you select the tap icon on the boiler you can't adjust via the + or - buttons either, if you do try it also says 'no'. But you can adjust the hot water temperature on the ClimaPro. But there is no where on the ClimaPro menu to adjust water temperature.

To reiterate the manual clearly states that to adjust CHW temperature you have to go into the D code parameter area of the programme, but the only way to get access to this is to enter a passcode at the appropriate time.

The reason you cannot adjust the flow temperature is because it is controlled by the climapro. It has nothing to do with a password. The Diagnostic menu is for service engineers and contains settings that can make the boiler dangerous if set incorrectly.

Do you have an outdoor temperature sensor? If so the system is weather compensated and will adjust the flow temperature according to the outside air temperature. The heat curve may be set too high.
If you don't have an outdoor sensor it will modulate according to the difference between the demand temperature and the measured temperature.

If you have an outdoor sensor 'Ext t' will be shown on the climapro.

Did your installer leave you the installation instructions for the Climapro?
Section 10.4.3 details how to switch the modulating control off.

BTW. The password for 2nd level on the Climapro is 96.
