Hi,

I recently tried increasing the pressure on my boiler which in the past has worked fine. However after my last attempt the pressure has risen to 2.5bar (after i thought i had stopped it at 1bar) and water has been coming out from the overflow pipe in the back garden. Can anyone tell me how to reduce the water pressure in this type of boiler? Is there any danger from the pressure continuing to increase?

Youll probably need to buy a new PRV this is the red thing just to the right hand side. When you get it you can drain via this before replacing then re-fill to correct level

The only safe way to reduce the pressure is to bleed water from a rad bleed screw!
