Glue and copper Pipes

Gluing copper pipe! It is very very strange that there are no such glues in everyday use and manufactured by the big boys German Henkel/Bostick et al Why? Glues have come a very long way in the past few years. I always think of theSydney Opera house and the problems they had gettin the tiles to stay put in the Oz summers - and they fixed that one. So whats the holdup?

There is copper glue and it is pants.

Glue for joining copper pipe is available but like all new things, you have to have the 'balls' to try it.

Its not particularly new, but it is not a stable product and weakens with heat.

Certainly can't be used on gas.

Back when this was first released in the UK I was sent a sample to test and lets just say if you intend trying it then do so at your peril!

Note this is used on gas in US but must NEVER be used on gas here as our regs do not permit it.
