Camoron is going to negotiate in Europe on immigration!!

Can we limit immigration please.

No.

Well then, we will have to threaten you with a possible refurendum where we might possibly vote to leave.

Go on then.

Ahhhh, errrr, oh.

Apparently Camoron is going to threaten to leave the EU and join FIFA...

Perfectly true. Yes, we haven't had a strong PM with balls since Maggie.

She wouldn't have stood for all this EU crap for two minutes.

Is that the same maggie that signed the single european act and entry into the ERM?

It appears that those who idolise that particular b*tch have very selective memories ;)

She's done some good things and some not so good, but the important thing is that she would never stand for the orders we now seem to receive from Brussels.

She gave in then and were we to dig up her ashes she would do the same now...

But it's no surprise that those who wish to perpetuate her 'myth' choose to ignore the facts

Nigel Lawson, her chancellor, and Sir Geoffrey Howe were the architects off the erm fiasco. Not Lady Thatcher.
Lady Thatchers views on the eu cost her her job. That's what you call backbone. Quite rare today in politics.
The tory party back then was mostly pro eu.

Its always satisfying to see the vitriol Lady T attracts. Sign off a great PM imo.

Google wrote..
"The former Chancellor, Lord Lawson of Blaby, has called for Britain to leave the European Union.
In a dramatic intervention into the Tory turmoil over Europe, he argues that the gains from a British departure "would substantially outweigh the costs."

Took a few years but he eventually seen the light.

My memory may be failing due to advancing years, but wasn't it John Major who sold our soul to the Devil?

I'm afraid it is indeed your memory that is failing...

The largest transfer of power to the EU was the single european act, and your idol signed it!
