does anyone know how to take the impeller off a grundfos pump, do you need a special tool? the reason i ask is that i have two pumps and the good pump, when i took the mounting off i caught the front face of the impeller and broke it off. so i was thinking that if i could change the impeller over i would still have a decent pump.

Although they have a nut, I think they are still a forced fit onto the shaft.
I have never heard of anyone successfully getting one off intact.
Interestingly the shaft is so hard that its very brittle and I have snapped several off just behind the impeller.
