Afternoon guys,

Tried to change the bulbs in my bathroom and made a pigs ear out of it!
The bulbs are behind the glass fitting so I have to remove the cover first, am I supposed to just un screw that ??

I found myself jamming a screwdriver behind it till it came out so I could grip it and turn it??

Anyway then I took the clip out and the bulb wouldn't come out! So I bought a sucker thing which pulled it out..

So ive put it all back and the plaster around the fitting has a small hole in it now and looks all scuffed.. how can I repair that ??

And how do you change the things without doing that ?

Thanks !

the ip fitted for bathrooms generally pull out not twist, they are usually held with two decent springs and then you access the lamp and holder. If you cant get the lamp out something not right, perhaps it has baked itself due to overheating, they should be easy enough to pull out if low volt or twist if GU10.

You will have to buy a whole new fitting to get the glass cover part, usually label inside which will show brand and model
