Hanging internal doors

Hi, I'm currently having a difference of opinion with my new home builder regarding the gap left under their newly hung internal doors which Are 3/4" higher than the completed floor covering?

Is there a code of practice or BS/EN to which the doors should comply?

i normally leave a 12mm gap under a door,especially when no floor covering is in place.
3/4 of an inch does seem a tad too much.

I agree. I aim for 10mm because in the past I've been told by fire officers that it was what they expected on restaurants
