It's a morning on the phone ask for cu foot or cu meter prices and what size section you need. Blumsons in Barking have always be useful for me but I don't know if they deliver up North. It's worth asking as they deliver to me on the South Coast

If it's oak then you could always try British Hardwoods at Cross Hills, near Keighley, WEST YORKSHIRE. they also sell elm and walnut. Anything other than that, come back with a species and an approximate location and I may be able to point you at a more local merchant
