This one is driving me mad. I'm no plumber, but I'm trying to work through the logic - can you help?

So, my heating only comes only when the tank thermostat (+ timer + room thermostat) are on.

The pump is working fine as is the boiler. The timer seems to be doing it's job as does the room thermostat.

I have come to the conclusion that this is likely to be a problem with the motorised valve in the airing cupboard.

Is there anything I can do to test my theory?

If it does turn out to be this item - is it a wholesale change of the valve, or are parts of it user servicable?

Appreciate any advice you can give me. Many Thanks, Steve

Im not a plumber, but try moving the motorised valve, there is a manual selector on them. (I think)

if you get heat on hot water but not ch then its the motorised valve.

do you have one valve or two?
