Hi i was asked to add an extra rad to a detached house around 15 years old 3 weeks ago.

It has a system boiler with unvented hot water, it had 2 drain cocks that came out in the middle of a new sunroom that was being built (wooden floors and tiles every where ), so i opened one drain cock and the system pressure dropped, topped it back up and repeated with the other drain cock with the same result so i extended these outside the new extension and teed off for the extra rad, filled it up, and fired the heating up all rads heated up fine and i left it at that.

Now phone call saying extra rad not heating, downstairs rads are look-warm upstairs are fine.

Any ideas ?

Just an update went to the house and sure enough all rads were look warm, checked boiler and down at 30*C for background heat in the summer turned it up and everything as should be then they ask if its okay to turn it all back down again

Oh well thanks for the reply
