Hi. I am a new female senior member of this forum and I'm stuck on a problem.
I am renting a house and want to decorate. All the window sills in the house are a mess.... layers of paint with lumps and bumps.... the worse is the bedroom. I have been trying to scrape the window sill today and there is a top layer of emulsion, under that is some lining paper.... would you believe... and under that are two coats of gloss, one pink and one white!
Also the PVC windows have had a very clumsy top layer of gloss paint (all the house windows are the same)
Don't know where to start. I have been scraping for ages and not getting far, it will take weeks at this rate.
