Hissing noise from pipes but no leak?!?

Ok, so I removed my decking, lifted a flag, dug a hole next to the drainpipe, and found the leak !!! Its outsaide the property, right next to the drain, so water has been running into the drain for god knows how long. Its a lead pipe, about 1 1/2" thick, with a 2" graze on the side thats leaking from various points. I've read about LeadLoc, can I buy something like that for a pipe this size? or is it for internal pipes only?

I've got a professional on standby - might just get them to do it!!

It is worth checking your insurance. I had a leak in my mains pipe on my property and it was covered.

Funnily enough that happened just when I was due to be moving.
