Honda HRB 475 mower advice

Hi I have just been given a second hand honda HRB 475, which comes with a roller rather than wheels on the rear, for striped effect grass.
I know it sounds daft, but just wondering if I can still use the mower, without it putting stripes on my lawn.

You'd have to take the roller off and fit wheels on the back instead. Or, only cut in the same direction all the time, that way all the grass will lie the same way
