Honeywell AG6/WB clicking

I have a quick question about my Honeywell AG6/WB exterior unit. It's making clicking noise. I noticed it this morning and thought perhaps it was rain dripping onto the window ledge, but it wasn't. The alarm box is clicking.

Doe anyone have any ideas?

Been raining a lot, damp for a long time? Perhaps.

How old is it 6,8, 10yrs perhaps a corroded connection inside?

Sounds, pun, like you need to get up to / replace it.

Mind all the spiders, flies etc when you take the lid off, don't fall off the ladder.

It's only 2 years old, I wondered if there was a back up battery inside and it was running low.

Yes they click when the battery is flat / faulty in the bell box
