Hi if a new kitchen is being fitted and there is a hood type extractor above the hob which is of the charcoal filter type do you need a seperate extractor fan to outside air on an external wall for example or can it just be a standard vent
Recirculating extractors are generally regarded as pretty hopeless & where ever possible a vented to the outside is preferable. Most recirculating types can also be vented, often just through the rear of the housing.
