Hi, I've just registered on here and hope someone can help me.

I have a Hoover AI130 Six Sportswear washing machine that is playing up. It will get so far through the cycle then stops, beeping and displaying "error number 2". I know that there is an issue with the door interlock on the machine, but a repair man who has attended also told me that the power/controller module (I assume these are the same thing) needs to be replaced .

Does anyone know what could be causing this error, and if replacing the door lock and power module would fix it?

The drum fills to the correct level and turns, and the water is heated - it seems like all the major components are working.
