Hello All,
Just like a sanity check on a CH thermostat replacement exercise. I'm replacing a Horstmann Centaurplus C17 thermostat with a Hive V2 single channel receiver. Simple controls - there is no room thermostat currently, just thermostatic rad valves on all bar one radiator, no hot water circuit. Current backplate can be re-used, after some wiring connections have been changed.

Existing wiring similar to first diagram (except 4 just goes to boiler/pump Live).

Now, as there is no current connection for Heating Off I reckon I can do the following:

Earth, N, L - No change
Common - move from 2 to 1
Heat On - move from 4 to 3

Is this right? All (helpful) comments welcome. Thanks.

Yeah what you said is the right way. A nice simple change from your existing thermostat/controller to the hive. Make sure to work safe and turn off the power.

Thanks for the reply. A quick update in case it's of use to others. Hive is working fine now using those new connections - but I did have to change the backplate for the Hive-supplied one. Nearly compatible - but not quite.
