I recently replaced a section of pipe coming into the house and now I can't get water from the hot and cold taps at the same time. Any ideas?

Yes, put the piece of pipe back, & call a plumber... just a thought...

The pipe was the cold water feed coming into the house.
You might have got stones and sand in the pipe and it's gone and got itself stuck in the incoming supply valve in the house. Try turning off the valve in the house if it crunches there you go, or if you've got any filters on unvented hot water valves or combi boiler check them. Oh state the obvious have you turned the cold supply on proiperly outside, old valve 1/4 turn, new valves open like a tap.
