Hot water but no central heating

My boiler is firing up for the hot water based upon the preset timings but is not firing up for the central heating (which we normally leave in a continuous position switched on throughout the day and night).

I have checked the thermostat and turned it to over 25C but still absolutely nothing from the boiler.

Hi I have a similar problem in that the heating fires up but not the hot water! I suspect that it is either the controller or a faulty thermostat. If you get the solution please post it as a reply !

the motorised valve is not opening and needs replacing, theres one for the heating and one for the water
