Had this product for 8 years and never a problem. Now tumbles but the "dry" button lights up for a few seconds then goes out; if you open door immediately there is heat so it is working for a short period of time. Leave it to run and there is no more heat in the drum. Any ideas as to what needs to be done to repair this fault would be very much appreciated.

Usual fault with these symptoms is the condensor needs a good clean out (the vane parts of the drawer and the cavity) as the air is being restricted getting back to the heater element. This causes it to overheat and the thermal trip is operating to stop it getting too hot.
